Solar Activities Disclosure
- Purpose of the Solar Activities tab
The Solar Activities tab is designed to help users organize and document certain activities and time spent related to solar-focused education and project-related tasks. It is a product feature for recordkeeping and convenience, not a compliance solution or a determination tool.
- No tax, legal, or accounting advice
Valur does not provide tax, legal, or accounting advice through the Solar Activities tab (or otherwise through the time logging or educational features or any other feature of the Valur Services). Any information made available through the platform is general in nature and may not reflect your personal circumstances. You should consult your own independent tax advisor, attorney, and/or accountant regarding your specific situation.
- No guarantee of eligibility, “material participation,” or any tax benefit
Tax outcomes (including whether a user’s activities may be treated as “material participation” or otherwise support a particular tax position) are highly fact-dependent and may be subject to differing interpretations and enforcement by the IRS or other taxing authorities.
Accessing the Solar Activities tab, logging hours, recording activities, completing educational content, or using Valur’s platform does not, by itself, establish compliance with any tax standard and does not guarantee any tax result, including the ability to claim deductions, credits, losses, or other tax benefits.
- User responsibility for accuracy and supporting documentation
You are responsible for:
- entering information that is truthful, accurate, and complete;
- maintaining your own supporting documentation (for example: calendars, emails, notes, travel records, invoices, meeting materials, and other evidence); and
- ensuring any tax return positions taken are appropriate based on your circumstances and professional advice.
Valur does not verify, certify, audit, or validate your entries, and does not represent that your logs will be accepted by the IRS or any other authority.
- Automated tracking limitations (if applicable)
If the platform includes automated tracking (for example, recording time based on video access through platform links), that tracking may be incomplete, approximate, or inconsistent due to technical limitations or user behavior (e.g., background playback, pausing, multitasking, connectivity issues). You should independently review and confirm the accuracy of any automatically logged time.
- Educational videos and third‑party content
Educational videos and courses may be provided, hosted, or licensed by third parties. Valur does not control third‑party content and does not make representations regarding its accuracy, completeness, or suitability for any purpose. Third‑party content is provided for general educational purposes only and may be subject to the third party’s terms.
- No fiduciary relationship; no reliance
Use of the Solar Activities tab does not create an attorney-client, accountant-client, fiduciary, advisory, or other professional relationship. You agree not to rely on the Solar Activities tab as a substitute for professional advice.
- Misuse and access
Valur may restrict or remove access to the Solar Activities tab if it detects or reasonably suspects misuse, including false or misleading entries, abuse of platform functionality, or violations of platform terms.
- Data handling
Your entries may be processed and stored to provide platform functionality and support, consistent with Valur’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. Do not enter sensitive personal information you do not want stored in the platform (for example, Social Security numbers or other highly sensitive identifiers) in free-text fields.
- Liability limit; indemnification
Your use of the Valur Services, including the Solar Activities tool, is subject to and governed by our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. For the avoidance of doubt, this agreement incorporates the liability limit and indemnification provisions therein.
Acknowledgement
By requesting or using access to the Solar Activities tab, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this disclosure and agree to it.
